ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain and Iranian Minister of Defence Brigadier General Amir Hatami Thursday reviewed the bilateral relations and discussed the possibility of cooperation between the defence industries of the two countries. Referring to the statement signed with his Iranian counterpart, Rana Tanveer Hussain said it showed Islamabad was deeply interested in the expansion of defence cooperation with Tehran, and sought new mechanism for the formation of joint defence cooperation committee with Iran. They also held meetings with Iranian vice-president and defence minister. The Pakistan side thanked the Iranian side for warm reception and hospitality and extended an invitation to actively participate in the Defence Exhibition IDEAS-2018. Iranian defence minister accepted the invitation to visit Islamabad.
