Pakistan, China vow to safeguard multilateralism


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and China have agreed to firmly safeguard multilateralism and support the central role of the United Nations (UN) in international affairs. Both countries expressed their support at the third round of China Pakistan Consultations on the United Nations Affairs on Friday. The FPCCI president also expressed his sincerest gratitude to the government of China for donating Covid-19 vaccines to Pakistan. He also appreciated the strong support extended by the Consul General of China in Karachi to the business community in the Sindh and Baluchistan provinces of Pakistan. The meeting was attended by a large number of prominent businessmen and representatives of different trade bodies, including FPCCI Vice President Hanif Lakhany, FPCCI Vice President Chaudhry Saleem Bhullar, FPCCI former president Zakaria Usman, former vice presidents Khurram Saeed, Sh Sultan Rehman and Qurban Ali, and many others.
