Pair escape car after it rolls into ditchTwo people have escaped from a car after it rolled and came to rest in a ditch near Palmerston North. Emergency services were called to the scene on Clevely Line, north of Palmerston North, about 8.10pm on Monday, a police spokeswoman said. The car was the only vehicle involved. Fire spokeswoman Belinda Beets said firefighters were initially called as it was feared someone could be trapped, but both occupants were able to escape. A St John ambulance crew attended and treated both occupants for minor injuries, the police spokeswoman said.
