Slip blocks lane on Coromandel Peninsula highwayDAVID WHITE/STUFF The southbound lane of State Highway 25 is blocked near Kuaotunu township. A slip has fallen across a lane of Coromandel Peninsula highway. Travellers on the road between Whitianga and Kuaotunu can expect to come across traffic control until the slip can be cleared. The problem is in the southbound lane of State Highway 25, or Kuaotunu Wharekaho Road, a police spokeswoman said. Traffic contractors were called when police got word of the slip around 7pm.
