Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao is welcome to be part of the Nationalist People's Coalition (NPC) senatorial lineup if he opts to seek reelection instead of running for president in 2022, Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto 3rd said on Thursday. Sotto, chairman of the NPC, made the remark when asked about his alliance with Pacquiao, president of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Laban ng Bayan. Pacquiao, who is eligible for reelection, was said to be eyeing the presidency next year. Sen. Panfilo "Ping" Lacson and Sotto had formed a tandem to run for president and vice president, respectively. With two remaining open slots, the NPC's senatorial lineup for next year's polls is almost complete, Sotto said.
