PTI submits petition in Punjab Assembly for Rana Sanaullah's resignation
'Government's responsibility is to protect lives, not plot massacres,' says RassOpposition benches have demanded the resignation of provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah in connection with Justice Najfi’s report on the Model Town operation. The demand was submitted on Wednesday to the Punjab Assembly by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) legislator Dr Murad Rass through a resolution. The report revealed that the plot to launch the Model Town operation was made under Rana Sanaullah’s supervision. Rass contended that government’s responsibility is to protect the lives of innocent people rather than plotting such massacres. The inquiry tribunal, headed by Justice Ali Baqar Najafi of the Lahore High Court (LHC), had submitted the 132-page report in the same year, but the Punjab government did not make it public.
