LATE day buying and Wall Street's overnight rebound enabled the local bourse to close flat but in the positive territory on Friday. The bellwether Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) inched up by 0.03 percent, or 1.61 points to end the week at 6,199.25 while the broader increased by 0.06 percent, or 2.42 points to finish at 3,842.73. Philstocks Financial Inc. senior research analyst Japhet Tantiangco said bargain hunters took advantage of the market's intraday dip. Net value turnover registered at P4.73 billion, which remains below the year-to-date average of P8.01 billion. Total volume turnover was at 1.63 billion shares valued at P5.03 billion.
