Jaipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's wife Jashodaben was injured and a relative killed when their car rammed into a truck that had suddenly braked in Rajasthan's Chittorgarh on Wednesday, police said. Jashodaben did not suffer any major injuries in the accident in which four other persons travelling with her were also wounded, station house officer Parsoli Shyam Singh said. The deceased was identified as Basant Bhai Modi, 67, a relative of Jashodaben. The accident took place in the Parsoli police station area when Jashodaben and the others were travelling to Chittorgarh after attending a programme in Kota, they said. The car rammed into the truck from behind as the driver of the bigger vehicle suddenly applied the breaks, the police said.
