Share:Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has the constitutional authority to hold general elections in the country at any time but the incumbent government will complete its tenure and the general elections would be held in 2021. Governor Punjab further said that as far as Jahangir Khan Tareen is concerned, Tareen has not uttered a single word against Prime Minister Imran Khan to date. He further stated that the PTI government is the biggest supporter of minorities and no injustice will be tolerated against minorities. Speaking about Minority Day, he said that the purpose of celebrating the day is also to protect the rights of minorities. Moreover, annual Rs2.5 crore funds have been allocated for the education of students belonging to the minority community.
