New Delhi, Aug 5 (PTI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi today strongly condemned the terror attack in Kokrajhar and said the Home Ministry is in touch with the Assam government. Earlier, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal who was here in Delhi met the Prime Minister. "The Home Ministry is in touch with the Assam Government & is monitoring the situation closely," Modi added. Assam Director General of Police Mukesh Sahay said 12 people died on the spot when the militants who came in a van around 12.30 p.m opened fire. Suspected NDFB(S) militants attacked a crowded market place in Kokrajhar district, killing at least 14 people and leaving more than 20 others injured.
