Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned home from Singapore on Tuesday evening cutting short her four-day official visit by a day following the crash of a Bangladeshi plane in Nepal. The prime minister left Changi International Airport in Singapore at 4pm local time. At least 51 people died as an aircraft of US-Bangla Airlines from Dhaka crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on Monday. After the plane crash, the prime minister talked to her Nepali counterpart Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli by telephone from Singapore to enquire about the incident. Sheikh Hasina went to Singapore on Sunday on an official visit at the invitation of her Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong.
