A robbery has taken place at the Baliadangi residence of Thakurgaon District Awami League President and Member of Parliament (MP)-2 Dabirul Islam. The robbery took place in the early hours of Tuesday morning, said Dabirul’s younger brother and former upazila chairman Md Ali. “Eight rooms inside the house were ransacked,” Md Ali said, adding that gold and jewellery were among the valuables looted. In the initial investigation by police, the tools used in the robbery were discovered in a nearby bamboo grove beside a pond.
