The West Bengal chief minister thanked the Bangladesh prime minister for expressing sympathy. Cyclone Amphan made landfall on the coast of West Bengal in India on Wednesday afternoon, before moving to Bangladesh at around 4pm. The cyclone lasted for hours and caused heavy damages in India as well as Bangladesh.
