According to our reports from districts, the death count at the hands of the cyclone stands at 34. Dhaka Tribune’s district correspondents reported eight new deaths, taking the death toll to 34 from 26 until filing of this report on Friday. In Jessore, five people died when trees fell on them during the cyclone in a village in Jessore's Manirampur upazila. Md Abul Hossain, chairman of Maswimnagar union council in Manirampur, said he visited the location and could confirm the deaths.
