PM Dbeibah and Deputy discuss with Kubis elections and situation in the south


The UN envoy to Libya Jan Kubis met with Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah and Deputy Prime Minister Ramadan Boujnah to discuss several files, including the upcoming elections and the situation in the south coinciding with the flare-up of events in Chad. They also discussed the budget and other areas of collaboration between the UN and the GNU in support of the Libyan people, including the security situation in Libya and the region following developments in Chad. Kubis informed Dbeibah of the results of his recent visits and talks that took place in various capitals to support peace efforts in Libya. In his meeting with Boujenah, Kubis discussed the security situation in the country and, in particular, in southern Libya, especially in light of recent developments in Chad. They also discussed ways to boost the humanitarian support to southern towns and cities through the UN Agencies, Funds, and Programmes.
