The premier made the statement while addressing a videoconference with representatives and officials of the nine districts of Dhaka division, on Thursday. The videoconference was aired live on state and private television channels from the prime minister's official residence Gonobhaban. As of Wednesday, Bangladesh’ recorded a total of 50 deaths from coronavirus. The total number of coronavirus cases in the country now stands at 1,231. Meanwhile, at least 134,616 people were killed while around 2,083,326 were infected by the virus till Thursday morning.
