Photo : PIDDHAKA, March 29, 2026 (BSS)- A delegation led by Jean Pesme, World Bank Division Director for Bangladesh and Bhutan, paid a courtesy call on Minister of Agriculture, and Fisheries and Livestock Mohammad Aminur Rashid today at the conference room of the agriculture ministry. At the outset, the Agriculture Minister welcomed the World Bank delegation, and the delegation members congratulated the minister on assuming office as a member of the cabinet. World Bank representatives expressed interest in increasing investment in the agricultural sector, particularly in supplying agricultural inputs, processing agricultural products, and cooperating in market development. The minister welcomed the World Bank's proposal.
