The PIL filed by A. Senthil Kumar of Chennai said the results could be handed over during the parent-teacher meetings. “On seeing the results (10th, 11th and 12th), students who have failed are distressed and some even commit suicide,” he said in the petition. He also sought an interim injunction preventing the government from publishing the results of the board exams conducted in 2017-18. The PIL is likely to come up for hearing on Wednesday before a vacation bench.. Martin has sought a direction to upgrade the State board syllabus on par with the CBSE and NCERT syllabi.
