According to Nairobi News, the suspect was arrested following a tip from the public members who saw him enter the Taw Guest House in Section 19 in Kitale town with the minor. ​The man is reported to have booked himself in and left but later came back accompanied by the minor who was in school uniform at the time. “After about 20 minutes, he came back accompanied by a girl in school uniform and they went into the guest room. I immediately raised an alarm by informing members of the public who then called the police,” said Irene Wekesa a steward at the guest house.
