LA JOLLA, Calif. — One after another, PGA Tour players were asked about the tragic death of NBA star Kobe Bryant. Finau loved everything about Bryant and grew up a Lakers fan because of the superstar. “To have that happen to one of the greatest ever to play the game of basketball and just I think one of the greatest athletes in sports is so tragic,” Finau said. Very sad, sad day for sports and just people in general.”Making it even more painful for Finau was that it brought back memories of a very personal tragedy involving the death of his mother, Ravena. “Maybe that’s something that I need, work even harder at your craft and have more love for your craft.”
