LAHORE: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Sunday issued a standard operating procedure (SOP) for the plastic bottle industry. Only food grade plastic bottle should be used for eatables, while bottle made with used plastic should not be used for eatables. The PFA, in a large-scale operation, had sealed nine food points in different areas of South Punjab region for selling unhygienic food on February 14. PFA vigilance team had sealed Chashti Food over selling unhealthy cooking oil and adulterated spices in Bahawalnagar. While the PFA teams had conducted a raid in Rahim Yar Khan, Fort Abbas and Rajanpur and sealed many shops over selling unhygienic food.
