The deceased identified as Atiur Rahman Atai, 57 was the son of Sheikh Ismail from Moallemtola village of the upazila, said Abhaynagar police station Officer-in-Charge Tazul Islam. Tazul said that in 2014, PBCP leader Nishan had been killed by Atiur over establishing supremacy. "On Monday evening, Nishan's brother Limon and his two associates stabbed Atiur in front of his home in Moallemtola village of Jessore." As his condition deteriorated, Atiur was shifted to Khulna Medical College Hospital(KMCH) where he died early Tuesday, the OC added.
