PBA to start team scrimmages on May 18 – The Manila Times

Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) commissioner Willie Marcial announced in a virtual press conference on Friday the league has been allowed to start team scrimmages on May 18. Batangas City is currently under GCQ. The Batangas City Coliseum, Batangas State University Gym and the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Batangas will serve as training venues for teams, Marcial said. However, Marcial said Malacañang will only allow the PBA to start once the number of Covid-19 cases in the country goes down remarkably. Marcial said he will meet players, coaches and team managers next week to discuss the protocols for the scrimmages.
