MANILA, Philippines — State weather bureau PAGASA on Friday afternoon warned that "quasi-stationary" Urduja (Kai-tak) continues to pose "serious danger" to the Eastern Visayas area. The tropical storm was located 240 kilometers east of Borongan City in Eastern Samar, heading northwest at five kilometers per hour. Signal number 2 is hoisted over Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Samar and Biliran. PAGASA warned that areas within the 500 kilometer diameter of the tropical storm will experience moderate to heavy rainfall.
