The world's longest lobster roll got a police escort on its way from Charlottetown's Culinary Institute of Canada to the PEI International Shellfish Festival. Then, in July at the Shediac Lobster Festival, New Brunswick boasted that it set the new record of 32.4 metres. Chef Ross Munro puts the finishing touches on a 36.5-metre lobster roll at the PEI International Shellfish Festival on Sunday. The next step, Giffin said, is to lobby Guinness World Records to create a category for longest lobster roll, and officially recognize P.E.I.
