More than 3,000 people across Newfoundland and Labrador participated in the 36th annual Terry Fox Run on Sunday. 40 different communities in the province held events, joining the more than 800 across Canada. The Terry Fox Foundation says more than $700-million has been raised in Fox's name since he started his run in St. John's in 1980, and 84 cents of every dollar goes directly to funding cancer research. In St. John's, the run took place at Quidi Vidi Lake, and CBC was there to check out some of the sights and sounds. Check them out in the player above!
