Earlier, on Sunday, owner Zainul Abedin was arrested from Faridpur bus stand by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and sent to Kushtia district prison. On Monday morning, driver Mohid Miya alias Khokon surrendered to the court and plead for bail. On August 28, a Faridpur-bound Faisal Ganjeraaj Paribahan bus from Rajshahi was stopped at the Chourhash intersection bus stop in Kushtia when the driver accelerated the vehicle without warning. On the night of August 30, Akifa’s father filed a case against the owner, driver, and supervisor of the bus under the Road Transport Act.
