Emergency crews at the scene of crash on the Kohatu-Kawatiri Highway, SH6. About 1.50pm, a motorcyclist was critically injured in crash between a truck and the motorcyclist on the Upper Buller Gorge section of SH6, near the Iron Bridge, police said. Emergency services were responding and the serious crash unit had been notified. Further north, a crane on the back of a truck rolled onto the road along the Kohatu-Kawatiri Highway, on the Hope Saddle, about 1pm. The lane closure was expected to remain in place for several hours until the crane was reset and the road cleared.
