No fewer than 1,000 residents of Ibadan were treated for various health issues such as Malaria, Diabetes, Hypertension, and Cataract under a medical outreach programme organised by DAKA Foundation, on Saturday. At the event held at Mapo Hall, Ibadan, minor surgeries were also carried out for various health conditions aside from eyeglasses, drugs and other prescriptions given to the various persons who turned up to be tested and treated. “We are trying to treat as many as possible for Malaria, Diabetes, Hypertension, Cataract and other health challenges. Aside from the programme helping to improve their health, the beneficiaries said the intervention by DAKA foundation will also help reduce poverty in society.
