Ottawa's first baby of the new year gave herself some extra time to distance herself from 2020. "We were joking that she just hung on for those extra couple minutes so she wasn't born in 2020," said Brandy McCann, Harlow's mum. McCann said it took her a moment to realize everyone was shouting that Harlow was the first baby of the new year. "You're just kind of out of it, so you're like, 'That's great,'" she said, laughing. "It just makes you really grateful for your family and this new start and this new year," said McCann.
