The province's police watchdog has invoked its mandate after a collision involving three vehicles in North York left six people injured. Police say they received a call about a reported collision at 11:29 a.m. on Friday in the area of Keele Street and Sheppard Avenue West. Shortly after, the Mercedes-Benz collided with a Honda that had been travelling west on Sheppard Avenue West and a Hyundai that had been making a left turn from northbound Keele Street onto Sheppard Avenue West, it says. The collision took place at the intersection of Keele Street and Sheppard Avenue West shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Friday. The SIU says three investigators, two forensic investigators and one collision reconstructionist have been assigned to the case at this time.
