As the golf world mourns the death of "The King," a former pro based in Ottawa remembers hitting the links in a foursome with the late, great Arnold Palmer decades ago. In 1978, Palmer dropped by Ottawa to play a charity exhibition game on behalf of the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. The foursome included Peter Haime, then pro at the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club; then top Ottawa amateur Eric Kaufmanis; and then club champion Peter Zebchuck. I didn't know how I'd be," Haime told CBC Radio's Ottawa Morning on Tuesday. Legendary American golfer Arnold Palmer died on Sunday at the age of 87.
