Marco Rossi is doing everything in his power to boost his ranking among the top prospects for the 2020 NHL draft. The Ottawa 67’s centre’s hat trick in Sunday’s 6-1 home win over Peterborough left him tied for the Ontario Hockey League scoring lead with Hamilton’s Arthur Kaliyev, a second-round pick (33rd overall) of the Los Angeles Kings in 2019. Rossi has had at least three points in six of his past eight games. Jack Quinn, Austen Keating and Noel Hofenmayer also scored for Ottawa in Sunday’s victory, which was the 67’s 13th straight, only one back of the team record. The 67’s will try to start 2020 off in a big way on New Year’s Day when they play a matinée game in Oshawa.
