Photo: SuppliedAsk Dunedin entrepreneur Tim Ryan to describe the nine months since launching Otis Oat Milk — New Zealand’s first oat milk producer — and he quips "probably insane". The creation of Otis followed 18 months of market validation work to assess demand for oat milk and potential markets to which it could be exported. Originally from Canterbury, Mr Ryan came from an advertising agency background. The global non-dairy milk market was expected to reach revenues of more than $US38 billion ($NZ57.5 billion) by 2024 and oat milk was the fastest growing plant-based milk globally, Mr Ryan said.
