An Oshawa man is facing a dozen charges after allegedly pointing a sawed-off shotgun at a bystander Tuesday night. Durham police say they were called to Drew Street and Etna Avenue at around 9:30 p.m. for reports of an armed person. The suspect was walking along Drew Street, and began yelling at people in the area to stop staring at him, the Durham Regional Police Service said. Then, police say he pulled out a sawed-off shotgun and pointed it at someone nearby. Four other people helped hold the suspect down until officers arrived, Durham police said.
