Denis Roy, Health Sciences North's president and CEO, will be retiring in June, 2017, HSN's board of directors announced today. Under Roy's tenure, the former Sudbury Regional Hospital changed its name to "Health Sciences North," to reflect the centre's expanding role in research and medical training. "We are now a globally recognized academic health sciences centre with a focus on innovation, patient-centredness and organizational excellence," Everest said. Dr. Denis Roy will be retiring from his position as CEO of Health Sciences North in June. "I have been inspired by the people of the north," Roy said, "they have tenacity, ingenuity and a boldness that leads to big wins for the north.
