more-inMultiple organs were harvested from a road accident victim at KG Hospital in Coimbatore on Saturday. A team of two doctors went from Chennai to Coimbatore, and following an assessment, the organs were harvested. Apart from the heart and lungs, the kidneys, liver, skin, bones and eyes were also harvested. The liver was given to Gleneagles Global Hospitals in Chennai while the bones and skin were given to Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore. The eyes were allotted to Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore.
