“The OTP fraud is on the rise in the district. Customers get calls/SMS from racketeers masquerading as representatives of banks and telecom companies, asking to share OTP for linking Aadhaar with telephone number, bank account number, ration card number, etc. The ‘Save’ campaign is aimed at creating awareness among people on the OTP fraud,” said an official. Kudumbasree will make women conscious about the OTP fraud and steps needed to prevent it,” the official added. People should not share OTP received in their mobile, since no bank asks for it,” the official said.
