Orange Money Group and Visa have announced a strategic partnership to accelerate online payments and broaden access to digital financial services across Africa and the Middle East. Under the partnership, the Orange Money Visa virtual card allows users to make secure online payments on local and international websites. The virtual card can be created instantly through the Max it app and funded directly from a user’s Orange Money account. A physical card will be introduced at authorised Orange Money points of sale at a later stage. “Thanks to Orange Money, our 45 million customers can make everyday payments at millions of physical retail locations and with online merchants in their country,” said Thierry Millet, CEO, Orange Money Group.
