(CNN) A brush fire driven by California's prolonged drought threatens coastal Orange County homes for a third day Friday, as hundreds south of Los Angeles have been forced to evacuate and the blaze remains just 15% contained. Evacuation orders remained in place into Friday, the Orange County Fire Authority said , as the Coastal Fire has ripped through mansions along hillside streets in Laguna Niguel, a city of about 65,000 with some of the state's wealthiest neighborhoods. Flames have destroyed 20 homes, damaged at least 11 others and burned about 200 acres , county officials said Thursday, when about 900 homes were under evacuation orders. Two firefighters were treated at a hospital as some 550 firefighters work to contain the blaze, Orange County Fire Authority Division Chief and Incident Commander Shane Sherwood said. Dry brush and vegetation will increasingly feed fires like the one in Orange County, the county fire chief said.
