Share TweetBy Alexandria Dennise San JuanThe operation of all modes of public transportation in Luzon has been suspended beginning Tuesday, March 17, in line with the imposition of the “enhanced community quarantine” in the island to combat the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). All public land transport modes including passenger buses, jeepneys, taxis, transport network vehicle service (TNVS), FX, UV Express, Point-to-Point (P2P) buses, as well as motorcycle taxis will also be suspended during the period. For the aviation sector, the DOTr said that outbound foreigners will be allowed to leave the Philippines within 72 hours after the start of the enhanced community quarantine. Airport operation will be also limited to outgoing flights carrying foreigners and tourists, while Filipinos are not allowed to go outside the country.
