The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit and Jhenaidah police have resumed “Operation Subtle Split” at a suspected militant den in Lebutola village under Sadar upazila. A bomb disposal unit led by Khulna Range Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Didar Ahmed entered the militant den around 10:30am Monday. One Haider Ali of the village said late Sharafat Hossain had started living in the area 20 years ago and he died 10 years ago. According to Haider Ali, Sharafat’s elder son Hasan is a mason and younger son Shamim is a student of Jhenaidah Polytechnic Institute. We never noticed anything suspicious in their activities.”Two militants were killed in raid at another suspected militant hideout in Bojrapur village on Sunday.
