Former Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) loyalist Elizabeth Ongoro said Saturday that President William Ruto shed tears many times in 2007 because he wanted Raila Odinga to become president. Ongoro, who is the elder sister to Rarieda MP Otiende Amolo, said that she saw Ruto, then an ODM member shed tears when championing the course of Raila. "In 2007 I saw Ruto shed tears many times because he wanted Raila to be president," Ongoro said. Ruto is on record claiming that he supported Raila into becoming the Prime Minister after he was short-changed in his bid to become president. Ongoro urged Raila's ardent supporters to abandon the ODM party for the President's United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
