A self-confessed madness has set in at South Africa's Manganese Metal Company (MCC), which operates a processing plant out of Mbombela. The company, which has been producing manganese metal for the steel, aluminium and welding markets since 1974, is now going gaga over opportunities to expand into Manganese Sulphate Monohydrate for use in the manufacture of electric vehicles. MMC's mere existence is already kind of mad.
