A serious crash has closed part of SH31 in Ōtorohanga. A person has been seriously injured and part of SH31 is closed due to a crash in Ōtorohanga. The two-vehicle crash, involving a truck and trailer unit and a ute happened on Kāwhia Rd, between Redlands and Mangamahoe Roads, around 2.15pm on Tuesday. Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency said that SH31 is closed between Te Kawa Rd and Kakamutu Rd in Ōtorohanga. The detour route is via Te Kawa Rd, Ouruwhero Rd and then onto Kakamutu Rd and then back on to SH31.
