Police have detained another person in connection with the murder of Daily Samakal’s correspondent Abdul Hakim Shimul in Sirajganj’s Shahjadpur upazila. Also Read- Mayor Miru arrested in DhakaPolice also arrested prime accused Shahjadpur Municipality mayor Halimul Haque Miru’s personal assistant Dulal Hossain, charge sheeted accused in the murder case, from Pabna early Friday. So far, 13 people have been arrested in the case and six more charge sheeted accused are still at large. Mayor Miru claimed that the bullets were fired from both sides. Shimul’s wife Nurun Nahar filed a case against 18 individuals, including mayor Miru, his two brothers Pintu and Mintu, and three unidentified suspects.
