BALTIMORE (AP): A gunman fired indiscriminately into a crowd that had gathered for Sunday (April 28) cook-outs on a Baltimore street in the United States, wounding seven people including one fatally, the city’s police commissioner said. One man who was shot collapsed behind a Baptist church nearby and was pronounced dead at the scene. Harrison and Young urged members of the public to help investigators with any information as to a suspect or a motive. Police officers could be seen after the shooting placing small orange evidence markers on the ground, just meters from a barber shop. Baltimore has been plagued by drug-fuelled violence for decades and it has long been considered one of the nation’s most violent big cities.
