One person has died and another is seriously injured following a two-vehicle collision in North York Monday night. In a Twitter post, police said officers responded to a collision around 8:30 p.m. in the Weston Road and Starview Lane area. Police initially tweeted that one car struck a house and that the driver was “pinned and unresponsive.” But Toronto police spokesperson Const. David Hopkinson told the Star in an email that despite several reports, a house had not been struck. Traffic services are investigating and the area was expected to have a road closure, according to a followup tweet by police.
