Breein Tyree scored a career-high 38 points to lead Ole Miss to an 84-70 win over visiting South Carolina on Wednesday night in Oxford, Miss. That allowed Ole Miss to go on a 10-0 run to lead 53-36 with 14:59 remaining. The Gamecocks got as close as 56-48 on a 3-pointer by Jermaine Cousinard, who had a career-high 28 and scored 10 straight South Carolina points during one stretch during the second half. But Ole Miss scored the next seven and kept the double-digit advantage the rest of the way. Maik Kotsar added 19 points and eight rebounds for South Carolina, which was without junior forward Justin Minaya, who missed the game because of a thumb injury.
