For the first time, census data can reveal the mode of transport students take to get to school. A whopping 128,000 respondents drove themselves, 450,000 were driven by someone else, 113,000 caught a school bus, and 82,000 took a public bus. Back in the day, when the concept of the teenager was first created, the problem of the generation gap quickly followed. That gap faded when parents became their children's best friends, but now the generation gap is back with a vengeance.
